Some stories are heart breaking as the owners describe what their rescues have survived to become cherished family members.
To have so many folks step up and become advocates for this maligned breed is heart warming. I cried & laughed through the stories, reading the rags to riches lives these dogs now lead.
I've had pits for nearly 30 years and can't imagine my life without one. Thank You Happy Tails for publishing this wonderful book. A must read for all pit and prospective pit owners.

This book is very inspiring. As an owner of two APBTs, it is so nice to read feel good stories about these dogs. I only wish that this book could be distributed to schools and media outlets across the country so they could see how pit bulls truly are. It is an easy read (I read the entire book on a plane flight from DFW to DC) and will definitely make you laugh, and maybe even cry. I cannot say enough how happy I am with this book and definitely recommend it! Plus, a portion of the book sales are donated to APBT rescues!
I'm so happy to finally read a book that shows the true side of pitbulls. I have read so many books on them because they are my passion and have found myself reading books that don't prove a point. This is a amazing book. I'm all for a pitbull I grew up around them and know how much of a mush they are. Pure kisses! And by the way the pink color is amazingly beautiful!!! My fav color!
Because it shows that pit bulls are awesome dogs and not killers like certain people like to portray them. i LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
I could read books about awesome pits and pit mixes are forever. Once you have a real pitbull, you'll never have another breed. But many dogs that are labeled "pits" are nothing of the sort. Seems to be the medias catch all for "short haired muscular dog with sideways ears and a large head" regardless of actual ancestry. Unfortunately the stereotype of the vicious pitbull is undeserved, and books like this are needed to combat the hysteria.
Heck, Ive got a rescued pitbull snoring away right next to me this second....
Great shorts stories and happy endings to pick up and browse through whenever or tear through the whole thing in an hour.

Having found a "lost soul" on the busy streets of Tulsa, I know first hand the chance that all dogs deserve. This book delights the readers with various stories of dogs that have overcome many obstacles to become fabulous family pets. Great, inspiring short stories for everyone to read, especially those who do not understand or know the breed. Give them the chance all dogs deserve.
This was a heart warming book full of personal stories of rescued pit bulls and the owners who love them. As a pit bull owner I could relate to how these people feel about their dogs who are like family. It moved me to want to do more for the breed and I'm considering adding another pit to our family. I gave the book to my sister who is a dog lover and she is considering getting a pit as well. Great for those who know and love pits and even better for those who don't so pass it on !
