The 2012 Guide Book or How to Make the End of the World Fun! edition by Corey Deitz Humor Entertainment eBooks Reviews
I absolutely love this book! ...and I'm gonna tell you several reasons why... 1. This book is not just a bunch of B.S. it is very insightful with a lot of interesting facts on cultures, religions, beliefs and historical facts you might not already know. 2. The author is an insanely brilliant comical genius who knows just how to deliver every punchline in this book with maximum impact, better be sitting down when you read some of these or you might suffer some severe stomach cramps! 3. With all that's going on in the world around us today, I think this book is not just in order but a MUST read for everyone. It puts a lot in perspective, most of it is very "tongue in cheek" and not meant to be taken literal, if you've ever heard of the term satire, but don't really understand satire all too well...this book is an excellent place to start your understanding! Thank you Corey Deitz, I really NEEDED this book!
First of all, I didn't read (what I did of it) clear through, I jumped around, mostly the nuclear
war part, and frankly, I didn't find any of it funny, let alone enlightening. So, even though it
was only a dollar and even though the trial period wasn't yet over, I simply dumped it from my
. It's not worth even $1, in my opinion.
I couldn't put it down! The author has done a fantastic job in bringing humor to the end of the world. Exciting, engaging, and hilarious, this is a great read.
Corey Deitz must be rolickin in the mornings on the radio stations when he doesn't have time to think about what he's about to say cause his stream of consciousness writing is worth passing the time with here!
Sly humor, Sly satire, He is an equal opportunity offender. He makes fun of politicians, government, religion, paranoia beliefs, end of the world predicitons, and everything in between. Wink, wink, nod, nod with a little truth and a huge helping of humor/satire. Although one prediction did not come true the world did not end in 2012 at the end of the Mayan calendar. This is not a spoiler chuckle. I plan on reading all of his works. This is the third book of this author's that I have read. I enjoy his books and his humour/satire. I would recommend this book to anyone and I hope that he writes more Father Shmitz books.
